As the summer days are getting hotter I find myself once again training for the SB250 bike ride. This will be the 12th year that I, along with other cyclists, will endure the South Texas heat as we ride our bicycles from McAllen to San Antonio to raise money and awareness for Spina Bifida Texas. The two day trek will challenge us physically and mentally. However, the challenges we will face do not even come close to what those born with Spina Bifida have to endure on a daily basis. Spina Bifida Texas is a non-profit organization that reaches and serves those affected with this birth defect from Austin to the Rio Grande Valley. Spina Bifida Texas has had a such a positive impact on Suzannah and our family as a whole and we have been truly blessed to have benefitted from their services.
